This is the first archive book documenting exhibitions held at Caption Seoul from its opening in 2023 through 2024, featuring works by 16 artists across nine exhibitions. Moving forward, it will be published annually, with each edition covering a year’s worth of exhibitions. Through this archive, we aim to preserve exhibitions that might otherwise fade with their closing, and to continue highlighting the creative worlds of the artists who have worked with Caption Seoul.
Caption Seoul serves as a facilitator of communication between creators and audience, collecting intriguing ideas and perspectives from contemporary artists. We gather diverse viewpoints and recontextualize them, exploring new contexts. Operating as a boundless experimental space, free from limitations of disciplines and mediums, caption seoul aims to provide a multifaceted artistic experience.
