CAPTION SEOUL ANNUAL ARCHIVE: 2023–2024

This archive book documents nine exhibitions and the work of sixteen artists presented at Caption Seoul from 2023 to 2024. It is the first volume in an annual archive series that will be published at the beginning of each year, capturing the exhibitions of the previous year. The series aims to preserve artistic practices and discourses that may easily fade after the close of an exhibition, while continuing to spotlight the creative worlds of the artists involved. Future editions will vary in form and design.

캡션서울 애뉴얼 아카이브는 2023년부터 2024년까지 캡션서울에서 진행된 9개의 전시와 16인의 작가 작업을 수록하고 있으며, 향후 매해 발간될 연간 아카이브 시리즈의 첫 번째 책입니다. 전시 종료 후 휘발되기 쉬운 작업과 담론을 기록하고, 작가들의 창작 세계를 지속적으로 조명하고자 기획되었습니다. 앞으로 매해 초 전년도의 전시를 모은 아카이브북이 발간될 예정이며, 책의 형태와 형식은 계속 달라질 예정입니다 .
